Welcome to the website of the General Maczek Museum. The museum is established in Breda, the Netherlands.

This museum is dedicated to the brave men and women of the 1st Polish Armoured Division who , under command of general Stanislaw Maczek, liberated parts of our country from German occupation and oppression during 1944 and 1945.

The Polish soldiers brought us freedom and nourishment and gave us the possibility to start the reconstruction of our country.

On the other hand our liberators couldn't liberate their own Poland and they had to accept that their country remained oppressed for fifty years.

 

Welkom op de website van het Generaal Maczek Museum in Breda, Nederland.

Dit museum is gewijd aan de dappere mannen en vrouwen van de 1e Poolse Pantserdivisie, die in 1944 en 1945    onder aanvoering van Generaal Stanisław Maczek belangrijke delen van ons land van de Duitse bezetting en  onderdrukking hebben bevrijd.

Deze Poolse militairen brachten ons de vrijheid en gaven ons de kans om ons land weer op te bouwen.

Helaas waren onze bevrijders niet in staat hun eigen vaderland Polen te bevrijden en moesten zij accepteren dat hun land nog 50 jaar werd onderdrukt.
